Where we are
The University for Foreigners "Dante Alighieri" is located in the historical center of the city of Reggio Calabria, a few steps from the "Francesco Cilea" teatre, Palazzo S. Giorgio seat of the municipality, from the "Palazzo Foti" seat of the Province and the Prefecture. It is also close to Corso Garibaldi, which is the main street of the city and the beautiful Promenade "Falcomatà."
How to get there:
By plane
In the town of Reggio Calabria is the airport "Tito Minniti" which is about 5 km from the University and is connected with some of the main Italian cities and, periodically, even with some European ones. In addition, a distance of about 100 km, there are the international airports of Lamezia Terme and Catania.
From Reggio Calabria airport , the city center can be reached in about 20 minutes ( by taxi or bus. The bus line that provides services from the airport to the city center is the No. 111 , and you can take it from the bus stop located in front of the airport exit , and vice versa from the center ( Museum / Corso Matteotti ) airport line to take is the No. 114 and 119. From Catania airport , you can reach Reggio Calabria taking the shuttle bus No. 457 out of the airport to go to the Central Station in Catania. From there you can take trains to Reggio Calabria. To view train timetables visit the website of the State Railways www.trenitalia.it.
Lamezia Terme Airport , you can reach Reggio Calabria taking the shuttle bus No. 90 to go to the central station of Lamezia and from there take a train to Reggio Calabria. To view train timetables visit the website of the State Railways : www.trenitalia.it.
By train
The University is located halfway (500 meters) from the train stations of "Reggio Calabria Centrale" and "Reggio Calabria Lido" which are linked to the main Italian cities through the services of Trenitalia.
By car
Reggio Calabria is accessible via the A3 motorway (toll free) which starts from the city of Salerno. The A3, currently, is in an advanced stage of restoration and its completion is expected by the end of 2013.
