The European Commission has recently approved the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education of the University for Foreigners "Dante Alighieri" that will allow our University to participate in international mobility initiatives and compete for the funding of the new "Erasmus +" for Education, Youth and Sport in the period 2014-2020.

The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education defines the general quality framework which includes the European and international cooperation activities that a higher education institution may carry out within the Erasmus + Programme, and it is the precondition for the participation in the Programme.

Through the Charter, the University for Foreigners "Dante Alighieri" is committed to respect the quality requirements related to the Erasmus mobility. These requirements concern both the respect of the fundamental principles of the recognition of academic activities carried out by our students abroad, and non-discrimination of students interested in an international experience, as well as the provision of quality services that support the international mobility.

An innovation of the Charter 2014 - 2020, requested by the European Commission for all Higher Education Institutes, refers to the inclusion of the description of its strategy for internationalization in the Charter, along with indications for how such strategies are related to the " European Modernisation Agenda for Higher Education ", developed by the European Commission.

By signing the Charter, the University for Foreigners "Dante Alighieri" has commited itself to publish this strategy denominated within the "Erasmus Policy Statement” document" on its portal.
